In terms of the biological industry, the "Planning" proposes that the average annual growth rate of the industrial scale during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period will reach more than 20%, and promote the industrialization of genetic engineering drugs and new chemical drugs with independent intellectual property rights. The biological agriculture industry must actively promote the development and industrialization of green agricultural products such as biological pesticides and biological fertilizers. By 2020, there will be 10-15 agricultural biological products companies with international competitive advantages. The bio-manufacturing industry must break through the key technologies for the conversion of non-grain raw materials and cellulose, cultivate and develop bio-based organic chemical raw materials such as bio-alcohols, acids, and esters, and promote the industrialization of bio-materials such as bio-plastics and bio-fibers. Glycol esters and other organic chemical raw materials and industrial biomaterials will achieve 100,000-ton scale production.
